Therapeutic Riding Classes
Under the instruction of a PATH International certified instructor alongside our trained volunteers, our weekly program teaches riding skills through a dynamic and progressing curriculum. Riders learn to ride, with individualized goals and objectives, and see measurable outcomes in the areas of: purposeful speech, increased motor planning, improved core strength, cognitive development, and increased confidence and self-esteem.
Our lessons are adaptive horseback riding in a community class. Yes, our riders benefit therapeutically, however, the class is not taught by a therapist and is not classified as a clinical therapy.
Classes are open to the public; riders are not required to have a diagnosis – anyone can benefit from equine interaction. Riders will interact with instructors, staff, and volunteers as well as other riders with or without disabilities.
The fee for the class is $65.00 per 30-minute lesson.
New clients, please click on the button below to fill out the Therapeutic Riding Registration Form. Once the form is completed it will be directly sent to our email address. The office will then contact you to schedule the initial evaluation and riding class.
