Therapeutic Riding Classes

Under the instruction of a PATH International certified instructor alongside our trained volunteers, our weekly program teaches riding skills through a dynamic and progressing curriculum. Riders learn to ride, with individualized goals and objectives, and see measurable outcomes in the areas of: purposeful speech, increased motor planning, improved core strength, cognitive development, and increased confidence and self-esteem.

Our lessons are adaptive horseback riding in a community class. Yes, our riders benefit therapeutically, however, the class is not taught by a therapist and is not classified as a clinical therapy.

Classes are open to the public; riders are not required to have a diagnosis – anyone can benefit from equine interaction. Riders will interact with instructors, staff, and volunteers as well as other riders with or without disabilities.

The fee for the class is $80.00 per 30-minute lesson.
